What to expect at

Your Appointment

Your first visit, or first appointment for a new issue is a 60 minute consult. This gives Pip time to hear about the injury and how it's impacting you, and do a detailed head to toe assessment to get a good idea of what your entire body alignment is like. Once a head to toe alignment assessment has been done Pip can start working to find the root cause of the issue. You may also need an ultrasound to look at how your muscles are working.

Sometimes other parts of our body create pressure in the area we feel pain and the key to getting rid of the pain and recovering properly is looking at the way your whole body is functioning. For example, it's not uncommon that someone has a long forgotten foot or ankle issue that is creating tension in their back. It's important that these issues are identified so you can feel back to your best as soon as possible. This occurs in the first session and determines your best treatment path going forward.

Follow up appointments are generally 30 minutes but  where there are multiple issues, or the problem is complex a longer session may be appropriate. In this case a long follow up appointment is 60 minutes.

Classes

In order to join our classes you must have a class assessment. In order to continue to claim on health funds these assessments must be done annually. Our classes are all individualised which means you'll be doing a programme specifically designed to help you with your issues.

If you are pregnant you will need a written letter from your doctor stating you are medically well enough to participate in classes before you will be able to join a class.

Classes are 55 minutes duration.

Class passes are available at a reduced rate compared to casual class attendance payments. As a results class passes are only valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. After this date the pass is void.

Fundamental Physio & Pilates operates from a home clinic set up. A small buffer of time is built into the schedule to allow the physio to take payments, organise any future bookings, and disinfect and prepare the room for the next client. As there is no "receptionist" it's important that you run on time for your appointment. When you arrive please wait in your car until right before your appointment. If you arrive e.g. 15 minutes early you would not be able to come in as the previous session would still be in progress.

COVID requirements: Please note your therapist is immune compromised and will be wearing a mask. Please DO NOT come to the clinic if you are unwell or have been recently exposed to COVID. Please text or email to cancel/change your appointment. You will not incur a late cancellation free in this situation.
